I love the Star Wars films, and I especially love seeing the ways in which the technology dreamed up by their creators eventually finds a way to influence the real world. From navigational technology reminiscent of L3-37 in Solo to bionic limbs inspired by Luke’s replacement hand, life imitates Star Wars in some extremely cool ways. And one great example of that is on the road.

Many new Nissan vehicles, for instance, feature Intelligent Mobility technology that blew my mind when I tried it. The ProPILOT Assist system adjusts your speed relative to the car in front of you with Intelligent Cruise Control, and its Steering Assist feature helps keep you centered in your lane. It’s enough to make me wonder: what’s next? What Star Wars tech do you hope and expect to see in cars, phones, heck, even refrigerators, over the next few years? Could you power a whole city for a year with a drop of Coaxium? How about a swoop bike, like the ones the Cloud-Riders use, to help you weave through a crowded city street?
