At some point in their gaming career, everyone has a shining moment where they pull off an amazing feat in their favorite game. Whether it's a flawless run, an intense win, a crazy kill, or a strange stunt, there's something electrifying about accomplishing something awesome. But how can you share this greatness with the world? Well, that's the heart and soul of PlayStation 4's First to Greatness site, which lets PS4 gamers showcase their skills and become a permanent part of the console's history.
Celebrating gaming firsts across the PS4's launch line-up, First to Greatness tasks gamers in the PS4 community with completing 64 challenges in 11 different games, including Assassin's Creed IV, Killzone, Knack, Injustice, and DC Universe Online, to name a few. The challenges themselves run the gamut, ranging from completing a no-scope kill with the AMR in Blacklight: Retribution, to catching a wink from Lady Liberty in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Some are fairly simple, while others are extremely tough to pull off.
The first player to complete a challenge, capture it on video using the DualShock 4's share button, and submit their clip gets featured in the top slot for each achievement. That's certainly one way to earn some heavy-duty gloating rights among your online pals.
Browsing through the many videos already posted online at FirstToGreatness.com is a fun way to experience a broad spectrum of killer moments (sometimes literally) across the best PS4 launch titles. As of right now, a total of 62 of the 64 challenges are already completed, but there are still some tricky ones left to master, meaning you have a shot at nabbing a top spot if you've got what it takes.
But don't fret, even if you're not the very first to log a particular achievement, you can still upload your videos and track your overall progress in each game using your unique profile. That's not all, either.
Getting involved is pretty easy. Once you've selected a challenge to complete and then nailed it, all you have to do is share the video on Facebook and upload it to the First to Greatness website.
So what are you waiting for? Why not set your sights on one of the remaining challenges and hit the ground running. The clock is ticking, but there's still ample time to make rank in this fun, lighthearted competition. And why stop there? Think you can you master all 64 challenges? Let us know how far you've gotten in the comment section below. We'd also like to hear about what challenges and games you'd like to see featured next! Head to FirstToGreatness.com to get started, and happy hunting.
